“ It is a pleasure to have someone like
Dennie that takes equine massage therapy
so seriously to consider using my material as
a teaching tool for her students. It is my hope
that the safe and proven methods in this
book will help her students help their horses."
Mike Scott LMT, CSF
Dennie,
I went to visit PJ at Nita's after your class and got to
try out my first massage. PJ has never been a horse
places and submits to grooming but has never
shown any enjoyment of it. As I began tracing his
muscles and feeling him, he whipped his head and
rubbed my hands together and placed them on his
neck. He instantly quieted and stayed relaxed for
quite a long time eventually lowering his head and
sighing. I went back to massaging his muscles and
this time he allowed it and stayed totally relaxed. I
felt a bump on his ribs and PJ whipped his head
around as I touched it. I knew it was a sore spot. I
compressed it until it stopped pulsing and then
massaged around it.
sighing. I think I got it!
I can honestly say, it's the
first time in all the years
that I've owned him that
he's ever let me lay
hands on him. It was a
very bonding and
wonderful experience.
Anyway, thanks for
sharing the knowledge.
I hope to put it to furthergood use.
Marilyn
